Your April trigrams are K’an (Water) over Ch’ien (Heaven) and the hexagram is called Ta Ch’u or The Taming power of the great. April will bring unexpected challenges from things, people, and maybe something from the past that suddenly appears to unbalance you. The best advice you can have is to hold firm, hold still and hold together. K’an indicates a time of being held in place for a reason. You need to let go of the desire to do something and just wait. Ch’ien indicates creative forces are surrounding you and sometimes, chaos is necessary. Remember a caterpillar becomes a blob of nothing before emerging as the finished butterfly. You can’t actually do anything so your best option is to do nothing and save your energy. Ch’ien rules the head and wisdom. You are being asked to listen to your inner voice and you won’t hear it if you are too busy rushing around trying to solve things that are essentially unsolvable.

K’un is about patience, being receptive to what others do and say, especially your gut feelings about other people. But that voice can be quiet and hard to hear if you are always so busy. April is a chance to change things for the better.

Taurus

In April you need to re-think what you are being patient and responsible about or realise you are being stubborn about something that needs to change. This hexagram is a perfect balance of Yin and Yang and in April you need to make sure you keep balance in your feelings. Because it is very easy to let enthusiasm run away with you. Yes you can feel that things are running your way but K’un is reminding you to be receptive to others feelings. Ch’ien rules wisdom, K’un rules gut feelings and emotions and they need to be in balance. Don’t be tempted to push things through quickly.
